How can you be the next TRIO Scholar?

ELIGIBILITY

Interested students must be admitted to the University of California, Irvine and demonstrate an academic need for assistance. Students must also meet one or more of the following requirements:

• Low-Income student (Meet the income criteria established by the U.S. Department of Education)
• First-Generation college student (Neither parent has received a four-year degree in the United States)
• Student with a disability (Must be registered with the Disability Services Center at UCI)

* Low-income students who are first-generation college students and students with disabilities evidencing academic need are eligible to participate in TRIO SSI.

HOW TO APPLY

UCI’s TRIO Scholars is federally funded by the United States Department of Education to assist 146 eligible students in their pursuit of higher education. Students will be accepted based on spaces available.

Step 1: Fill out and submit the online application

Step 2: Participate in an interview with a TRIO Staff member

Step 3: Attend the TRIO Scholars New Participant Orientation
